Marquee signing 'total package' with talent to succeed

MIDDLESBROUGH have been told not to expect a conventional or traditional number nine in marquee new signing David Strelec - with experts describing him as a more mobile forward.

Along with Kaly Sene, Boro bolstered their forward ranks in the final week of the transfer window by landing the Slovakian.

And Strelec has already excited Boro fans with his performance for Slovakia last week in their shock win over Germany, scoring a goal and providing an assist in the World Cup qualifier.

To get an idea of what he might bring to Boro's attack, we asked popular X account Slovan Insights, run by a passionate Slovan Bratislava supporter and expert.

Slovan Insights said: “Strelec isn’t a classic penalty-box striker or a traditional target man. He's more of a mobile forward, comfortable in linkup play. He can drop into space to receive the ball and combine with teammates, but he's not the type who regularly creates chances entirely on his own - he benefits from good service from wingers or a No. 10.
