'Frenzied' attack by knifeman

A MAN left his victim needing stitches to a wound on his forehead following a "frenzied" attack outside a nightclub.

Ryan Nevison pulled out a 10-inch knife during an incident in the early hours of March 2, last year, outside Bar Cuda, in Albert Road, Middlesbrough.

His victim, Damon Jennings, was also accused of affray but was found not guilty by a jury in June.

Teesside Crown Court heard on Thursday, November 13, that a verbal altercation broke out between the two men outside the nightclub.

Prosecutor Elisha Marsay said Nevison "briefly pointed in the face of Jennings" and he responded by repeatedly punching the defendant to his head, which forced him into the middle of the road.
