Edwards sees the potential at Boro

ROB Edwards has set an early target to make improvements at Middlesbrough in his first season, with league position just one of the areas he hopes to step up in.
Boro finished in a disappointing tenth place last term and it resulted in Michael Carrick being sacked and replaced by the former Luton Town boss.
Edwards was honest in his first interview that, while winning promotion is the ultimate aim over his three-year contract with Boro, it might not be wholly realistic in his first season.
But Edwards is clear that he wants to see an improvement on last term's league position, while there are other areas in Boro's general play that he hopes to see improvements in too, as he gets to work on instilling his ways during pre-season.
