TENNIS: Cameron Norrie recovered from a poor start to open his 2026 campaign with victory over France's Ugo Humbert at the Brisbane International.

The British number two lost the first four games and eight of the opening nine but hit back, saved three match points in the second-set tiebreak and eventually came through 1-6 7-6 (6) 7-5.
There were also opening victories for British duo Katie Boulter and Sonay Kartal at the ASB Classic in Auckland.
