Ayling up for player of the month award

LUKE Ayling’s Middlesbrough form in September has been recognised with a nomination for the PFA’s Championship Player of the Month award.

Separate from the league's official awards - for which Rob Edwards won Manager of the Month in August - the PFA’s awards are independent and the winner is picked by supporter votes. That means you can help the veteran Boro defender win, with voting already open.
Ayling’s nomination comes after he helped Boro to another unbeaten month in September, with Saturday's defeat at Portsmouth coming in October.
In total, Boro collected three draws and a win last month, with Ayling a central figure.
