A million thanks goes to Junction Multibank

MIDDLESBROUGH'S poverty-fighting multibank has now handed out a million items to people in need.

The first of its kind in the North East, it aims to ensure that no good product goes to waste, and no family goes without. To date, goods from the Junction Multibank have helped over 57,500 families.

Essential items handed out have included surplus clothing, crockery, cleaning products, toiletries, towels, bedding and toys, donated by businesses including Amazon.

Recipients are referred by a “coalition of compassion” comprising a mix of social workers, teachers, charities, community organisations, housing associations and other organisations that support those in need in the Tees Valley.
