Club to build new community space

St Cuthbert Wanderers Football Club (SCWFC) are working on designs to build a new energy efficient pavilion at St Mary's Park in Kirkcudbright, which would bring many benefits beyond football.

This will include a community space with views across the River Dee, a wellness suite, and a focus on staging activities to improve community health and wellbeing.

The details have emerged as part of an application to Kirkcudbright Common Good Fund subcommittee for grant funding.

A report, due to be tabled at the committee next week, reads: "The new pavilion will incorporate facilities for use by the local community, which SCWFC is currently unable to offer.
