The Freeman brought pride anew after clinching several prestigious accolades, including being recognized as the Outstanding Regional Newspaper at the Best Magazine’s Asian Business Award, and the Hall of Fame award as the Most DSWDSupportive Newspaper (English).

Additionally, The Freeman's senior reporters Caecent No-ot Magsumbol and Mitchelle Palaubsanon were also named one of the 6th Philippine Faces of Success awardees under the “Seasoned Reporter/Journalist” category of Best Magazine and DSWD, respectively.
The Freeman, one of the oldest regional newspapers in the region, now in its 105th year, was recognized at Teatrino Promenade, Greenhills, San Juan City, last March 29, 2025.
This recognition was not the first time The Freeman has been honored by Best Magazine, having previously received the Most Outstanding Regional Newspaper award under the Best Brand Excellence Category just last year.
This marks Magsumbol's second citation from Best Magazine, following her inclusion in the Philippine Empowered Men and Women of the Year 2024.
Magsumbol expressed deep gratitude for the recognition, especially being a female sportswriter in a male-dominated field, noting how this honor uplifts not just her but others in the provinces.
