Suganob faces tough test against Tanzanian WBO Global champion

Bohol's pride Regie "The Filipino Phenom" Suganob hopes to hurdle another big obstacle in his path toward another world title shot as he clashes with the reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) Global flyweight champion Mchanja Yohana of Tanzania in the main event of “Kumong Bol-anon XXIII” today (Saturday, November 22) at the PMI Main Campus Gymnasium in Tagbilaran City.
It's a non-title match scheduled for 10 rounds but so much is at stake for the 28-year-old Suganob, who is hard-pressed to win so as not to jeopardize his goal to fight again for a world crown.
“Nindot gyud ning duwaa kay dili basta-basta ang ako kontra. Mao sumbagay gyud ni kung dili lang siya mudagan,” said Suganob, who racked up three victories in a row since losing to South African Sivenathi Nontshinga by unanimous decision in their International Boxing Federation (IBF) light flyweight championship duel two years ago.
