Shot in school
The Freeman
|August 10, 2025
From Nueva Ecija comes to us the shocking news of an 18-year-old who went to the school of his ex-girlfriend, a 15-year-old, before shooting her then turning the gun on himself last Thursday.
-
Police said the suspect went to the school then tried to get his ex-girlfriend to leave with him, but after she refused to come with him he entered the classroom then shot her before shooting himself. The incident was witnessed by the girl’s classmates.
The suspect died yesterday because of his wounds.
While we are thankful that the incident didn’t turn into one of those school shootings frequently happening in the U.S., --the latest being in Emory University in Atlanta just yesterday-- this should also be a cause for concern.
