Search for 6 missing persons continue

The Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CCDRRMO) is not letting its guard down in its search and retrieval operations for the six individuals who remain missing following the devastating flash floods brought by Typhoon Tino.

It has been more than two weeks since Typhoon Tino battered the country and left massive destruction in Cebu, including Cebu City. Among the challenges the city government continues to face in its aftermath is the search and retrieval of the remaining missing persons.

According to CCDRRMO Chief Aderson Comar in an interview with The Freeman, operations in Barangay Paril continue despite the difficult terrain and thick mud that have hampered movement and visibility. Comar further acknowledged the challenges faced by responders.

“As long as naa pay magpatabang pagpangita, ato lang gihapong tagaag pagtagad... although, tungod sa kabaga sa lapok, lisod gyud..This week sa Paril, kasagarang na koykoy namo
