"Mayroon tayong plano para ma-relocate kasi marami sa naging biktima ay nasa no-build zone," the President said, stressing that affected families will receive immediate and sustained assistance.

He said the national government is coordinating with local government units (LGUs) in Cebu to identify relocation sites for the displaced families.

Temporary shelters have also been provided to residents who have yet to return home, while long-term housing solutions are being prepared to help victims rebuild their lives.

PBBM underscored that the devastation in Cebu was largely caused by severe flooding, not by strong winds. He noted that several dikes and flood control structures previously built failed to withstand the volume and force of the water brought by Typhoon Tino.

President Marcos later yesterday visited the Municipality of Liloan and the City of Talisay to personally oversee the government's ongoing relief and recovery operations for families severely affected by Typhoon Tino, which battered Cebu and parts of the Visayas earlier this week.

Liloan is among the hardest-hit areas in northern Cebu, where widespread flooding and strong winds caused extensive damage to homes and infrastructure.

The President’s first stop was Tiltilon Elementary School in Barangay Cotcot, which is currently serving as an evacuation center for 126 families, or 509 individuals displaced by the typhoon.

During his visit, President Marcos distributed family food packs, health kits, hygiene kits, and sleeping kits from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Hot meals were also served to evacuees staying at the school.

To ensure the safety and health of evacuees, the Department of Health-Central Visayas (DOH-7) is conducting rapid health assessments in all evacuation centers.
