Police holding run for a cause
The Freeman
|November 23, 2025
Aiming to raise funds to expedite the construction of a command center in the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), a run for a cause event will be held to aid its cost.
Dubbed as “Dagan Bayanihan”, the said running marathon is initiated by the Advisory Group for Police Transformation and Development (AGPTD) and will take place at the Cebu Business Park on November 29.
Marlinda Tan, chairwoman of the CCPO AGTPD, said that the proceeds from the event will be used to supplement the cost of building the command center.
“This fun run, whatever proceeds we will have here will shoulder the costs of whatever equipment that the command center will need,” she said in a press conference.
Tan explained the AGPTD chose to host a fun run event, citing that it’s the current trend today. She also emphasized that it’s one of the activities beneficial for the health of the people, especially the police force.
