Meralco dug itself a hole too deep to climb over and went all the way down against Taoyuan on Sunday night, 82-72, in the Home and Away Season 3 of the East Asia Super League in Taipei.

The Bolts fell behind by as much as 17 points and were still down 64-78 inside the final two minutes of the game at the Taoyuan Arena.
But imports Ismael Romero and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson instigated an 8-0 run that put Meralco to within six points with 32 seconds to go.
