|July 20, 2025
The Cebu Marathon 2026 officially joined the ranks of internationally recognized road races, offering runners a passport to global marathons and a promise of world-class standards.
This came after the organizing Cebu Executive Runners Club (CERC) announced in a press conference on Friday, July 18, at SM Seaside City that next year’s edition of the annual race slated on January 11 is now certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
AIMS certification isn’t just a badge it’s a statement. It means athletes’ times can qualify for other top-tier marathons worldwide, and assures participants that Cebu’s race course meets stringent international standards.
For both seasoned runners and first-timers, it’s a chance to run Cebu — and run global.
