New contractor for CCMC welcomed

As Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival Sr. welcomes the development of having a contractor for the completion of the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC), he said he will personally supervise its progress but added that he will review the contract first.

In an interview, Archival acknowledged that the completion of CCMC is among his campaign promises that he will now be undertaking to fulfill. It can be remembered that prior to his exit, former mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia announced the winning bidder for the P700-million completion of CCMC, which covers the third to seventh floors.

Although he acknowledged the awarding of the contract to Dakay Construction is a welcome move, he said he may need to check the inclusions of the contract first.

“Kay akong gikuyawan, inig deliver nila sa ilang P700 (million), mao ra g'yud gihapon, di gihapon mahuman, basin atop or whatever ra ilang ibutang,” said Archival.
