Lapu-Lapu adopts DTI's price monitoring system

The Lapu-Lapu City government has entered into a formal partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cebu Provincial Office to strengthen the monitoring of prices of basic necessities and prime commodities through a digital reporting platform.
Under a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signed on February 4, 2026, the city adopted the DTI-developed e-Presyo system, a web-based tool designed to modernize the collection and analysis of price data from public markets and commercial establishments.
Mayor Cindi King-Chan, chairperson of the city’s Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC), signed the agreement alongside DTI Cebu Officer-in-Charge Provincial Director Marivic Aguilar. City Administrator Atty. Danilo Almendras witnessed the signing.
