KENKOY AND THE PIXEL PAL

A long time ago, children didn't have smartphones and tablets. There was a funny, cheerful boy named Kenkoy. He was known for being a masayahin (cheerful) boy who could make everyone laugh with his silly jokes and clever tricks.

Kenkoy wasn't just an ordinary boy. He was actually a comic character created many years ago by a kind and imaginative cartoonist named Tony Velasquez. Tony wanted to make people smile, especially during tough times, so he drew Kenkoy as a playful, witty Filipino boy who loved helping others and spreading good vibes.

Many years later, as the world became digital, Kenkoy somehow found himself forgotten in an old comic book stored in a library. But one day, a curious child named Migs found a copy of the comic book and scanned the pages into a computer to preserve them.

Something magical happened that night. A bolt of light zipped across the screen, and Kenkoy came to life inside the digital world and Kenkoy found himself exploring the internet! He discovered games, apps, and videos. He enjoyed them all but still felt lonely. What he really wanted was a friend.
