Seasoned broadcast journalist Ivan Mayrina renewed his contract with GMA Integrated News on September 5, celebrating his 25-year career with the Kapuso Network.

Present during the contract signing were GMA Network President and CEO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr.; Senior Vice President and Head of GMA Integrated News, Regional TV, and Synergy Oliver Victor B. Amoroso, and Vice President and Deputy Head for News Programs and Specials Michelle Seva.

Joining the event were Vice President and Head for Corporate Affairs and Communications Angela Javier Cruz, Asst. Vice President and Deputy Head of Integrated News Operations Queenie Dimapawi, Assistant Vice President for GMA Integrated News, Regional TV and Synergy Administration Maria Teresa Bernabe, Assistant Vice President for Integrated News Systems and Support Mimi Yapchiongco, GMAIN Senior Program Manager and News Cluster Head for “24 Oras Weekend” Kate dela Cruz-Robledo, “24 Oras Weekend” Program Manager Marielle Ventura, and GMA Integrated News Research Senior Manager and Ivan’s wife Karen Tiongson-Mayrina.

Since joining GMA in 2000, Ivan has built a solid career as a reporter and has become one of the most reliable and credible voices in broadcast journalism. He began his as an anchor of GMA News Live/ Flash report and Segment Producer of the long-running morning TV show “Unang Hirit.” He would later become one of the on-cam personalities of “Unang Hirit” and has been one of its news anchors and hosts since then.
