God is truly good, all the time! God hears prayers too!

- Cherry Piquero-Ballescas cballescas@yahoo.com

The 2025 Philippine election results testify to God's guidance and care for our country and our people!

So many prayers lifted, including ours. Never has there been a more spiritual election and campaign period for many of us than the May 2025 Philippine elections.

In our May 10thcolumn entitled “Guide Filipinos Next Please, Our Dear Holy Spirit!”, we appealed to our readers — “Together, let us also pray for the Holy Spirit to guide Filipinos to elect and proclaim God’s chosen servant-leaders next Monday, May 12, 2025! May God save our country and allow the victory of His genuine/ honest/chosen servant leaders!”

By evening of May 12th, so many messages and reports of “kamang” reached us.

“Kamang,” a Visayan term which literally translates to “crawl,” isa common practice among political parties and supporters of “stealthily crawling “or handing certain cash amount to voters especially during the eve of or even during the day of election.

Other regions may have their own term to describe this practice of vote buying which has become part of every election awaited by voters all throughout the country.
