In 2005, a group of small animal veterinarians from the Asia-Pacific region established FASAVA (Federation of Asian Small Animal Veterinary Associations) to enhance veterinary professional standards and animal welfare across member countries.

Today, the organization represents 14 national associations focused on the region's specific veterinary needs. As a consulting veterinarian for Cebu Animal Hospital and Clinics, I had the opportunity to join the VETMATE PAPI-FASAVA 2025 convention held in Daegu, Korea.
