Gov. Baricuatro commends Bantay Kadagatan 2025 organizers

Cebu Governor Pamela S. Baricuatro hailed the power of unity and inter-agency collaboration as the Exercise Bantay Kadagatan 2025 concluded on Friday, July 11, aboard the Lapu-Lapu Hall of Naval Forces Central (Navforcen) in Cebu.

In a video message aired during the ceremony, Baricuatro addressed participants from the military, law enforcement, and government agencies, expressing deep gratitude for their service and commitment.

“To our brave men and women in uniform, our partners in national and local government, and everyone who took part in Exercise Bantay Kadagatan 2025—daghang salamat sa inyong mainiton nga pagdawat. It is a true honor to stand before you today, not just as your Governor, but as a proud daughter of Cebu,” she said.

Baricuatro emphasized that Bantay Kadagatan is more than just a military drill—it is a testament to the spirit of panaghiusa (unity) among stakeholders in safeguarding the region's maritime domain.

“Security is not just about strength, but about partnership,” she said, saluting the Philippine Navy, Coast Guard, PNP, Philippine Drug Enfircment Agency, Bureau of Food and Aquatic Resources, local government units, and all participating agencies.
