DMCI, Concreat team up for northern Cebu rehab
The Freeman
|March 13, 2026
DMCI Homes Inc. is stepping up corporate social responsibility efforts by partnering with cement producer Concreat Holdings Philippines Inc. to support rehabilitation work in Northern Cebu, where communities are still rebuilding months after a 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck on Sept. 30, 2025.
-
The companies donated construction equipment and materials to help accelerate rebuilding in the hard-hit municipalities of San Remigio and Medellin. The turnover, held on March 4, forms part of broader private-sector support aimed at restoring damaged infrastructure and housing in the province.
DMCI Homes provided one concrete hollow block machine and one one-bagger mixer each to the San Remigio local government and to the Engineer Support Company of the Philippine Army’s 53rd Engineer Brigade based in Medellin. Concreat, through its subsidiary Apo Cement Corp., supplied 600 bags of cement to support reconstruction works across affected communities.
