According to reports, Sajid and Naveed Ikram, the father and son who massacred 15 people and injured more than 20 others in Bondi Beach, Australia, visited the Philippines last November where they allegedly spent time getting “military-style” training in southern Mindanao.

The pair arrived here on November 1, with the city of Davao as their final destination. Until they left the country via Manila on November 28, it wasn’t known where else they went or what they really did there. But Australian investigators suspect that they linked up with and received training from remnants of the Islamic State.
