Cessna training aircraft crashed, two pilots dead

A small, two-seater Cessna training aircraft crashed near Barangay Libsong East in Lingayen, Pangasinan, at approximately 8 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, resulting in the deaths of both the pilot and a student pilot on board.

Lingayen police chief, Police Lt. Colonel Amor Somine, confirmed the fatalities, stating that the aircraft crashed shortly after attempting to land at the Lingayen airport.
In an interview with Radyo 630, Somine detailed the sequence of events, explaining that the aircraft had been conducting a series of training rotations before the fatal incident.
“Pang-sampung batch daw na nila, bale ‘yun sana ‘yung final na rotation nila. Kaya lang pagka-touch down sa airport, lumipad ulit, wala pang isang minuto bumagsak na po ‘yung Cessna plane,” Somine added.
