The Cebu-Oman Investment Forum held yesterday in Cebu City marked a significant milestone in Philippines-Oman relations, ushering in new avenues for trade, tourism, and investment.

Lapu-Lapu City Lone District Representative Junard "Ahong" Chan, speaking on behalf of the Province of Cebu, warmly welcomed the Omani delegation and lauded Oman's values of diplomacy, peace, and friendship.
"We see this not merely as a diplomatic gesture but as the beginning of a stronger, high-quality, and mutually beneficial relationship between our two regions," Chan said.
He underscored Cebu's dynamic economy and strategic location in Southeast Asia, identifying key sectors such as tourism, real estate, manufacturing, IT, and renewable energy as ripe for investment.
Lapu-Lapu City, with its Mactan-Cebu International Airport and multiple economic zones, was presented as a vital gateway for global connectivity.
