Cebu City allocates P12M electric vehicles for police

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival has approved the procurement of electric vehicles worth P12 million for the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), aiming to enhance police mobility while promoting environmental sustainability.
The initiative falls under the city’s Peace and Order Program and marks a significant step toward integrating green technology into public service operations.
“Ang support lang gyud nga gipangayo nila nato basically is mga sakyanan,” Archival said during his visit to Camp Sotero Cabahug last Friday. He confirmed plans to purchase electric cars for the police, stating, “Ang akong himuon is we’re going to buy electric cars for them. Mao gyud nay direksyon sa city government.”
