CAAP imposes stricter ban on hazardous activities near airports

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has issued a new directive imposing stricter regulations on hazardous activities near airports and their operational areas to enhance aviation safety.

Through Memorandum Circular No. 26-2025, CAAP outlined various prohibitions within the vicinity of airports, emphasizing the importance of minimizing risks that could compromise flight operations.
Among the key measures, the flying of kites, balloons, and flying lanterns is now strictly prohibited within a 12-kilometer radius from the aerodrome reference point (ARP).
