BSP accepts Moody's positive review of Philippine economy
The Freeman
|September 01, 2025
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has welcomed the recent positive assessment by global credit rating agency Moody's, which praised the country’s strong access to both local and foreign financing.
-
In its latest report following a credit rating review, Moody’s highlighted the Philippines’ ability to borrow from domestic and international markets, as well as its large foreign currency reserves. Moody’s affirmed the country’s investment-grade credit rating of Baa2 with a stable outlook in August 2024.
