Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro inspected the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) on July 15, 2025, flagging critical safety hazards, overcrowding issues, and the continued collection of comfort room fees despite an executive order banning such charges.

"The facility is not enough to accommodate sa atoang mga constituents," Baricuatro said, pointing to the visibly damaged ceiling structures and a dilapidated second floor.

Baricuatro's inspection comes at a time when commuters are raising complaints over long queues, poor facilities, and the continued imposition of comfort room (CR) fees by Mister Loo Philippines, a private company operating CRs at CSBT and the Cebu North Bus Terminal (CNBT).

According to the governor, Mister Loo now operates three CRs at CSBT, expanding from just one, and yet only remits five percent of its gross sales to the Province.

"This is something that we really have to look into," she said.
