Archival tells brgy execs: We are partners for city's development

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival has called on top barangay officials to embrace their role as vital partners in the city’s development, underscoring the importance of grassroots cooperation during the Liga ng mga Barangay—Cebu City 3rd Quarter Assembly held at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino recently

Addressing the city’s 80 barangay captains, Archival emphasized that the success of Cebu hinges not only on city hall’s initiatives but on the active participation of barangay leaders.

"I'm going to tell you that as the Mayor of the City of Cebu, you are my partners,” Archival said.

“Ang tanan nga mga barangay sa siyudad sa Sugbo, partner mo namo. And I understand, without you, dili mauswagon ang siyudad sa Sugbo. So I would like to ask you to please cooperate with each other,” he added.

The mayor took the opportunity to ask barangay captains to support ongoing cleanup drives and pledged to accelerate infrastructure projects, including the city’s road asphalting program, which he aims to complete before year-end.
