Archival open to lifestyle check

The mayor made the statement after the City Council approved a resolution urging his office to create a task force to conduct lifestyle checks on all city officials.

The measure, introduced by Councilor Sisinio Andales in a privilege speech, calls for the establishment of a Local Integrity and Lifestyle Audit Task Force composed of representatives from the Internal Audit System Office, Human Resource Development Office, and City Legal Office, in coordination with the Office of the Ombudsman, Commission on Audit, and the Civil Service Commission.

Archival said he is open to creating the task force but stressed that councilors should lead by example by first declaring their SALNs.
