AppleOne appoints seasoned professionals for board seats

AppleOne Group has appointed seasoned professionals Rene J. Buenaventura, Michael S. Chua and Stephen CuUnjieng as new independent directors to strengthen its corporate governance framework.

The appointments bring seasoned expertise in banking, capital markets and corporate oversight as AppleOne seeks to scale its diversified portfolio while maintaining financial discipline. The new independent directors are Rene J. Buenaventura, Michael S. Chua and Stephen CuUnjieng, all widely regarded figures in the Philippine financial sector.

Buenaventura, a certified public accountant and former bank chief executive, is vice chairman of Equicom Manila Holdings and sits as an independent director in several listed and private firms. His background is expected to bolster board oversight on internal controls, risk management and capital discipline.
