Re-elected Cebu City Councilor Pastor "Jun" Alcover noted the dwindling attendance of councilors during sessions after the May 12 midterm elections.

During the most recent session of the Cebu City Council, Alcover posted photos on his social media page showing him and other councilors sharing light conversations while the session was on break.

An excerpt of his caption reads: "Ang uban nga konsehal nga wa na mapili pagbalik mura og gilaayan na og attend og session (Some of the councilors who were not reelected seemed to have lost their interest in attending the session)."

In an interview yesterday, Alcover elaborated on what he meant on his post and said that the most recent session highlighted the declining attendance of councilors, despite the fact that their respective terms do not end until the afternoon of June 30.

In the same interview, Alcover named councilors who have yet to make an appearance since the election, while others arrived late—a trend he attributed to the recent results of the midterm polls.
