Ako Bicol's 3rd nominee moves up to assume seat vacated by Zaldy Co

The third nominee of the Ako Bicol party-list has been promoted one rank higher following the resignation of former congressman Zaldy Co, who stepped down amid massive corruption allegations tied to the flood control scandal that has rocked the national government.

Under the party-list succession rule, second nominee lawyer Alfredo Garbin Jr. moved up to the top spot, replacing Co, who remains overseas and has yet to be located by authorities despite an invitation from the Independent Commission on Infrastructure to shed light on the controversy.
Garbin, a member of the 12-member House contingent to the powerful bicameral Commission on Appointments, confirmed that fellow lawyer and third nominee Jan Almario Chan has been elevated to Ako Bicol's second nominee following Co's resignation.
