5 South Korean fugitives nabbed

Five South Korean nationals wanted by the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) were arrested by the operatives of Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 on Monday afternoon, August 18.

The operation, carried out through an INTERPOL Red Notice, was conducted by PRO-7 in coordination with the Regional Special Operations Unit 7, Regional Intelligence Division 7, the Bureau of Immigration (BI), and representatives from the Korean Consulate and Korean Police.
The suspects, whose identities the police withheld, were charged with violations of Articles 47(2) and 26(1) of the Republic of Korea's National Sports Promotion Act.
