'Tejas jet crash is an isolated occurrence'

India’s Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) on Monday said the crash of a Tejas fighter jet in Dubai last week was an isolated incident caused by “exceptional circumstances”, without sharing further details.
The statement comes days after a Tejas aircraft went down in a ball of fire during an aerial display at the Dubai Airshow, killing the pilot in front of shocked spectators.
The Indian Air Force has announced that a court of inquiry will investigate the cause of the accident.
