To facilitate the seamless execution of this landmark policy, Gujarat has established the 'Gujarat State Electronics Mission,' a dedicated institution to drive the state's leadership in semiconductor self-reliance. In today's digital era, semiconductors and displays have become essential building blocks of modern electronic devices. From powering smartphones, computers, and satellites to advancing cloud services, electric vehicles, industrial automation, artificial intelligence (AI), critical infrastructure, and defense systems-semiconductor technology is at the core of nearly every innovation in electronics.
