BMC, MMRDA claimed they had no control over the plot

Eversmile Construction Company Pvt Ltd will finally be compensated for a 730 sqm plot, which was acquired as part of a larger land parcel of 22,000 sqm for the Sahar Elevated Road. Both the BMC and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) had claimed they had no control over the plot. While granting compensation, the Bombay High Court termed the situation “utterly unique”.
