MHADA's re-dev plan sparks protests

Around 250 to 300 people staged a protest outside the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) office near Pune Railway Station on Friday, opposing an integrated redevelopment plan for their housing societies.

Protesters said they want the right to pursue individual redevelopment projects instead of being compelled to join cluster-based integrated plans.
