With festive crowds swelling at railway stations ahead of Diwali, incidents of theft have sharply increased across Gujarat’s major transit hubs.
In one such case, a woman from Naroda lost jewellery and cash worth over ₹3 lakh at Kalupur railway station while boarding a train to Uttar Pradesh.
The victim, 58-year-old Manjudevi Rajput, a resident of Bhagyalaxmi Society on Nikol Road, had arrived at Kalupur station on October 15 along with her family to board a train to Ganjipur.
