Iran alleges US-Israel plot to assassinate Khamenei

The Free Press Journal - Mumbai

Iran’s intelligence minister has accused the United States and Israel of attempting to assassinate Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in what he described as a plan to destabilize the Islamic Republic, Iran’s ISNA news agency reported.

- Agencies

Minister Esmail Khatib claimed the alleged efforts included “assassination attempts and hostile attacks,” though he did not specify whether officials had uncovered an active plot.

Public claims of threats against Khamenei have been rare but have intensified following the 12-day Iran-Israel war in June.
