Homes of actors raided in luxury vehicle fraud probe

Customs officials have launched a large-scale operation in Kerala targeting luxury vehicles allegedly smuggled into India through Bhutan, with raids y at the residences of Malayalam film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Dulquer Salmaan.

The investigation, titled Operation Numkoor, focuses on a network suspected of importing high-end vehicles without paying requisite customs duty. The operations include searches of Prithviraj's house in Thevara and Dulquer's residence in Panampilly Nagar, both in Kochi. Officials also visited Prithviraj's residence in Thiruvananthapuram, but did not find any vehicles flagged as illegal.

Over 30 locations across Kochi, Kozhikode, and Malappuram are under scrutiny as part of the probe.
