Cyclone Shakthi causes moisture inflow, heavy rains lash Bhopal

In the last leg of the monsoon, a spell of heavy rains lashed Bhopal city on Sunday evening for a second consecutive day.

According to the Meteorological Department, Cyclone Shakthi is the main reason behind the moisture inflow into Madhya Pradesh, leading to rainfall in several districts.

The cyclone will continue to do so in the state, especially in its southern parts, for the next couple of days.

A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms and lightning, gusty winds (30-40 kmph) at isolated places in Sehore, Rajgarh, Indore, Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, and Guna.
