Many religious places are attacked, damaged, vandalised or ransacked regularly in many parts of the world.
Recently, a gold crown gifted by the Indian Prime Minister, Modi to Bangladesh temple has been stolen amid Durga puja celebrations. These acts hurt many devotees and raise questions about why the respective divine power, i.e., God, does not protect himself or protect those who try to stop them and keeps quiet in such situations.
