Water crisis deepens across PMC's areas

Despite heavy rainfall, water scarcity has worsened across several areas under the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), with residents raising grievances at a court-mandated meeting on Wednesday.

The Water Committee, formed under Bombay High Court directions in PIL 126/2023, met at the PMC headquarters to review the crisis. The meeting was chaired by the Additional Commissioner of PMC and attended by senior Water Supply Department officers along with representatives of nearly 250 housing societies from Lohegaon, Wagholi, Manjari Budruk, Hadapsar, Mundhwa Keshavnagar, Kharadi and neighbouring areas.
