Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has reiterated that the Global Ayyappa Sangamam will proceed as announced on 20 September, with full support from the government in administrative and logistical aspects—and nothing more.

The event forms part of the Travancore Devaswom Board's platinum jubilee celebrations, and the Chief Minister stressed it is not a political initiative but a spiritual assembly that must remain free from political framing. He dismissed assertions of shifting from "minority appeasement" to "majority appeasement," and urged all stakeholders to allow the Sangamam to proceed peacefully and without partisan interference.
