A car accident involving veteran actor Manianpilla Raju has refocused attention on the Vazhuthacaud Road stretch outside the Triv andrum Club, a corridor long regarded by residents and traffic officials as one of the capital's most accid entprone urban arteries.
The incident occurred ona road that forms part of the city’s much-publicised Smart City upgrade, raising questions about design ch oices, enf orcement gaps and the be haviour of motorists in a zone that combines elite residential pockets with a thriving nightlife economy.
Police officials confirmed that the actor’s vehicle was damaged after losing co ntrol near the Trivandrum Club frontage on Vazh ut hacaud Road, a straight and relatively wide carri ageway connecting Kowdiar and Thycaud.
