PMPML orders safety overhaul after crash

Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has announced a series of major steps to improve bus safety, breakdown response and passenger services following the recent accident near Navale Bridge.
The decisions were taken during a review meeting held on Thursday, chaired by PMPML Chairman and Managing Director Pankaj Deore.
The overhaul follows directives issued by Union Minister of State Murlidhar Mohol in a meeting held on Nov 15. Strict instructions have been issued to implement enhanced safety measures at the accident-prone Navale Bridge stretch.
