As the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities light up every corner of the country, one Ganesha idol in Gujarat is stealing the show with grandeur and devotion.
Nestled in Daliya Sheri, Mahidharpura, the heart of Surat's diamond hub, the iconic "Richest Ganesha of Gujarat" has again left devotees spellbound.
Adorned with over 25kg of gold and silver ornaments, studded with real and American diamonds worth lakhs, the idol has become the epicentre of attraction for the lakhs of visitors.
This year, the idol has been further enriched with a 6-foot, 1 kg gold-and-silver necklace and a leaf-shaped silver backdrop encrusted with one lakh American diamonds, along with a 7kg silver Mushakraj (mouse king), making the pandal shine brighter than ever.
